Theo Shakes Sets Sail with Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced

Plot twist: it was all just a game. Theo Shakes teamed up with Ubisoft for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, putting his own cinematic comedy spin on the world of pirates, adventure and gaming.

For the campaign, Theo played with a classic movie trope: an epic, action-packed story unfolds before the big reveal that everything we’ve just witnessed is actually a kid playing with action figures.

Bringing that concept into the world of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, Theo transformed the game’s swashbuckling action into a character-led comedy sketch that felt completely at home on his channel.

The collaboration gave Theo plenty of room to combine his distinctive style of visual storytelling and comedy with one of gaming’s most recognisable franchises. Rather than a traditional game promotion, he created a piece of entertainment that captured the adventure of Assassin’s Creed while delivering an unexpected punchline.

We loved seeing Theo put his creative stamp on Assassin’s Creed, proving that sometimes the best gaming stories come with a plot twist you never saw coming.
